Control Section

longitude When the pointer is on the observational data, the longitude of the mouse pointer location [deg], [h,m,s] will be displayed.
Either equatorial, galactic, or ecliptic longitude, according to the coordinate system selection.
latitude Latitude of the mouse pointer location [deg] .
Either equatorial, galactic, or ecliptic latitude according to the coordinate system selection.
button Zoom in image of Display Panel.
In the initial screen, the scale is adjusted to display the entire sky.
button Zoom out image of Display Panel.
north button Re-display the image so that the north points toward the top.
reset button Reset to the initial screen (latitude=0[deg], longitude=0[deg], smallest enlargement size, the north toward the top).
However coordinate will not reset with this operation.
coordinate Select the coordinate system, either equatorial, galactic or ecliptic.
Show Information check box Switch the information list section to be visible or not. When the box is checked, the information list section will be displayed.
Initially, the information list section is invisible.

Display Item Selection

Set the display items on the display panel.
Only the items checked in this section will be displayed on the display panel.
The items are hierarchized and if you click the + of tree view, the low-level items will be visible.
Upper items are displayed in front of the lower items.

INTEGRAL Catalogue (Ver.27) label Display the source name according to the INTEGRAL catalogue.
When the scale enlargement is low, only bright sources are displayed. As the enlarge size becomes bigger,
the darker sources will be displayed.
mark Display the mark according to INTEGRAL catalogue.
Size and color of the mark show brightness and hardness ratio.
Mark size is proportional to logarithmic counts total in the energy band.
Mark color shows the hardness ratio (H-S)/(H+S) of the count rate in 20-60keV and 3-10keV. If the hardness ratio is smaller, the color gets to be redder, and if it is larger, it gets to be bluer.
SUZAKU public image Display the image of the public SUZAKU data.
If the zoom size is not up to a certain level, the image will not be displayed.
public FOV Display observation point and FOV of the public SUZAKU data.
The observation point will be displayed when the zoom-in ratio is large. When the ratio is smaller, the FOV will be displayed.
proprietary FOV Display the observation points and flame and FOV of proprietary SUZAKU data.
The observation point will be displayed when the zoom-in ratio is large. When the ratio is smaller, the FOV will be displayed.
ASCA SIS image Display the image of observation data of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
When zoom-in level is large, it will not be displayed.
FOV Display an observation point and FOV of observation data of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
The observation point will be displayed when the zoom-in ratio is large. When the ratio is smaller, the FOV will be displayed.
ASCA GIS image Display an observation point and FOV of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
If the zoom size is not up to a certain level, the image will not be displayed.
FOV Display an observation point and FOV of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
The observation point will be displayed when the zoom-in ratio is large. When the ratio is smaller, the FOV will be displayed.
ASCA GIS 64 image Display an observation point and FOV of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
When the zoom size is not up to a certain level, the image will not be displayed.
FOV Display an observation point and FOV of ASCA X-ray CCD camera SIS (Solid state Imaging Spectrometer).
The observation point will be displayed when the zoom-in ratio is large. When the ratio is smaller, the FOV will be displayed.
Constellation label Display the name of constellation name at the center of constellation.
grid Display the border of constellation.
Coordinates label Display the coordinate value.
grid Display grid latitude and grid longitude.
ROSAT Display a visible image of X-ray survey data of the entire sky, "ROSAT (Roentgen Satellite)".
IRAS Display a visible image of infrared-ray survey data of the entire sky, "IRAS(Infrared Astronomical Satellite)".

Display Panel

The celestial image on the Display Panel is created on the browser to superimpose several layer images.

Slider Scale the image size using the slider's knob.
Move up = zoom-in, down = zoom-out.
At first, the entire sky is displayed in the Galactic coordinates.
Mouse operation Move While dragging the image, longitude and latitude of each observation data point will be displayed.

When mouse is on the observation data point,
a brief description of the observation is displayed in "information data" in the left-hand side.
Also, the back color of related information in "information list" is changed.

Information List

Drug You may click and drag the image in JUDO:
  • While drugging, the image moves with mouse in parallel.
  • When releasing the mouse button, a new image is calculated by making the center of the image being the new center of the projection.
  • Double click Re-draw the image as double-clicked point gets to be the center.
Wheel Scale the image size using the mouse wheel.

    Display Panel Control Section

    Set the display image.
Click View Settings:, the setting panel will come up.
You can set conditions by each items. First, choose a combo box, then you can change the condition.

combo box Display the current items on the display panel. You can change conditions of checked items at this section.
opacity Adjust opacity of the image with slider. Left direction is higher opacity, left edge is all clarity. Any images gets to be invisible.
scale Set the scaling method of the observation data to create visible image.
    log [default]

    linear

image Select the color tone of observation data, color or black-and-white.

    Information Section

When mouse is on the observation data point of SUZAKU or ASCA,
observation information (observation device and observation ID (name)) pop up on the screen.

    Information List

Show the information list of display panel.
At initial, this information is not shown, and when click "Show Information" check box in operation section, it comes up.
This information shows the observation data of SUZAKU and ASCA.

Each information is displayed by "observation ID" of each observation device. If you want to change a device, click a cell what you want to see.
When point any link, the mark will be placed on the Display Panel to show the center point of the observation area where you pointed.

    Pre mark-up:

    After mark-up:

Click a link, the target comes to be the center of the Display Panel, and you can find the detail information on the another window.
You can filter the listed items by any words on the Display Panel.

Edit box Input a keyword to filter the information.
    Any keywords ignore the case.
filter button Filter the displayed items by any keywords in edit box.
Display only the items which includes a keyword. A keyword ignores the case.
reset button Reset filtering and show all items in the list.

    Search External Network Section

Set coordinate and search range, you can search external network.
    Linked following external sites;

  • SPSS DR7 Navigate Tool
  • BED (NASA/IPAC Extra-galactic Database)
  • SIMBAD Astronomical Database
  • ADS (The SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System)
  • pos, coord Display central coordinate "pos (longitude, latitude)", coordinate system "coord".
Click the image, click point gets to be the center of the search.
radius edit box Input the search range (deg).

Click , then catalogue information (search result) will be loaded.
On the image, search range is indicated by a blue circle, the catalogue source coordinate is indicated by marks with source name.
This function is useful only for NED and SIMBAD data. It is impossible to display catalogue information on 2 web sites at the same timing.
