The Third VSOP Announcement of Opportunity

Last modified: 1 September 1999

The Third VSOP Announcement of Opportunity is now available, with proposals due at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) by 1 October 1999. AO3 solicits proposals for observations at 1.6 and 5 GHz. Accepted observations may be scheduled as early as mid-January 2000. With AO3, a change to four-monthly Announcements of Opportunity has been made: the AO4 proposal deadline will be 1 February, 2000. The important changes between AO2 and AO3 are summarised in section 1.1 of the Announcement of Opportunity.

The following files are available:

A list of the General Observing Time sources observed, or scheduled to be observed, during the AO1 and AO2 periods will be available for inspection shortly: proposers may wish to refer to this list while planning their proposal.

Revised versions of the software packages for simulating VSOP AO3 observations have been made available.

Proposers plaaning to submit a proposal for polarization observations should consult the VSOP Polarization page.
