Three exmeriments were mounted on Sakigake, in which
IMF data are archived at DARTS as of 2017 April.
- Solar-wind ion detector (SOW)
The sensor is a modulation Faraday cup with four grids. Flow direction, bulk velocity, density and temperature of the solar wind can be measured.
- Plasma-wave probe (PWP)
PWP consists of two measurements of both electric as well as magnetic fileds by using dipole antenna and search coil respectively.
- Interplanetary magnetic field measurement (IMF)
Three axis ring-core type fluxgate magnetometer.
