ISS-IMAP Instruments

The mission uses two sets of imagers, EUVI and VISI, to observe airglow and plasma resonant light scattering in the Earth's upper atmosphere.

  • Extra Ultraviolet Imager (EUVI)
  • Limb observation of plasma Resonant scattering in aeronomy.

  • Visible and Infrared Spectrum Imager (VISI)
  • Scanning observations of airglow in nadir direction.
